I just graduated from USTDS 4/8/2011 and I am ecstatic, proud of myself and the effort I put into the training but above all I am eternally grateful to the investment the school made in me. I was treated like I was more than a student in their program. They were invested and committed to my successfully completing the program.

Coming from a White Collar background there were many times I was not convinced that I could master the skills needed to become a Professional Truck Driver. With the help, support and encouragement from the Director of Training and Placement, I was forced to let go of my back up plan, be in the now and embrace the help and instructions that was being provided.

 The Instructors were acutely aware of my anxiety, fear and uncertainty of engaging in what appeared to me to be an impossible task, learning how to drive a tractor-trailer in 3 short weeks.  However, with their combined experience, patience, unwillingness to let me fail and their "get it done" mentality, I have my CDL and will be joining the SWIFT family of Professional Truckers.

 After having a major setback in my career, as a possessor of my CDL, I will again control and determine my financial altitude based on how hard and often I want to work. To everyone at USTDS thank you! My experience was unforgettable.
